blouse & shoes - topshop, shorts - f21, hat - h&m

firstly, huge huge sorry for not having blogged in weeks, i've just not had the time (or the weather, for that matter) to take any photos! but finally i've got something to post, hurrah.

so here i am sporting what everyone takes great delight in pointing out is a pyjama top, which is totally fine by me - i love wearing pyjamas. this top is silk so as you can imagine it creases so easily and is quite a hassle to wear, but by jolly if i don't absolutely love it. oh, and these denim shorts have leather pockets. that is all.

dream trousers

oh bloody hell, these trousers. topshop, thank you for making these. i already own them in teal (i'm sure you know the ones i'm talking about), and i didn't think i could love a pair of trousers any more, until these came along. the colour is really specific, not quite a lilac but not quite light blue. 

as for this jumper, it goes with everything. i will always prefer navy to black.

favourite things; cheap hat

this outfit is basically a mash-up of all my favourite things. polka dots, leather, grey jumper and a good hat. speaking of this hat, it cost me a POUND. a bloody POUND! while having a nosey around the topshop sale i headed over to the accessories section and, being a hat fan, was drawn to this solitary hat sitting on it's own on a shelf. after noticing it was £1, i had to have it. it's a lovely colour, but a funny shape. either way, it's earned it's place in my collection.

i'm finally back with a blog post! the weather has just been too awful to even think about doing outfit photos. frizz and soggy knitwear does not a good blog post make. but here i am, rocking a nice stripe, and in a very spring-like move, some pastel. i went crazy for all those royal colours over winter, so it's good to have a change, and i do love all these nice paler colours.

doubling up

doing double denim, and some heels again.. what's happening to me?! but surely a good pair of t-bar wedges are like a wardrobe essential. no?

i've been really bored of skirts/shorts with tights lately and am finding myself wearing jeans with everything, and i'm actually enjoying it. i seem to have this obsession with rolling things up - i do it with shirts, jumpers, jeans... it just makes things look a bit less dressy. i'm sooo not dressy.

if you replace the heels with converse or loafers, this is pretty much what i wear on a daily basis. i love chucking on a band tee (this bruce springsteen one being my favourite, such a fan of the boss) and either jeans or a comfy skirt.

i promise to think about maybe cutting down on wearing these shoes too much...! they're mega comfy though (for me to wear heels they have to be comfortable, i'm not one of those no-pain-no-gain shoe types) and for such a specific colour they go with a heck of a lot of my stuff.

i really like this outfit, despite being still fairly scared of pencil skirts i'm wearing this one quite a bit, and to stop looking too officey i like to dress it down with jumpers, this one inparticular being my current favourite. i searched so long for a great grey jumper so i'm pretty much not taking it off now.
